So you want be a scuba diver?
Well, you’ve come to the right place!

We’re about to unlock a world of wonder for you. Another universe where you can float weightless like an astronaut, experience life-changing interactions with creatures few people have ever seen and have adventures you never knew existed.  You'll experience and do things you never imagined you would… it’s going to be amazing!

Our highly qualified instructors will turn you into a BSAC Ocean Diver, an internationally recognised diving qualification understood for its quality over the rest.
After that, the underwater world is yours to explore!

The Ocean Diver training programme consists of a theory element followed by pool training and finally, you will repeat and practice your skills in Open Water where you really get to see and experience the magic of scuba diving.

Theory training will be delivered via eLearning and will be supported by your club instructors who will help you with anything you might need a bit more time with.

Once your theory is complete, you will complete your pool sessions with us over a number of weeks.

After you've nailed the pool sessions, your training will move to our favourite open water site Capernwray Dive Centre where you will complete the open water element of the course.

Once qualified, you'll be able to join us on trips, practice your skills in the pool and become one of the Pontefract Scuba Club Family.

Some on the amazing critters we'll introduce you to!!

There is no need for any prior experience and we provide all the equipment you need for your pool sessions. Once we get into Open Water, you'll need to hire some additional items, but we'll walk you through it all.

Membership comes with some amazing benefits! FREE family access to the pool every fortnight where they CAN use their masks and fins. Monthly FREE Scuba Magazine direct to your door and amazing discounts at a number of Highstreet and online retailers.
